Elvis began his studies & training in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) & Hypnosis in 1985 via practicum study while completing his Masters Degree at the University of South Florida. While pursuing his licensure as a Mental Health Counselor, Elvis received supervision from Dr. Dorothea Hover (Co-Founder of the Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology & Founding Elder of Healing Touch) in methods such as Gestalt, Creative Visualization, Guided Imagery, Healing Touch, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) & Energy Work. He earned his Mental Health Counselor License (LMHC - State of Florida) in 1987 while working at an inpatient facility focusing on families & working with adolescents & providing outpatient counseling in private practice. In 1989 Elvis attended a Licensed Practitioner of NLP training where he met & trained for the first time with Dr. Richard Bandler (co-creator of NLP). He was already studying Ericksonian Hypnosis & had begun training at the Milton Erickson Foundation (Phoenix, AZ – Basic-Intermediate-Advanced Modules) & continued to train with ASCH in Hypnosis. He later acquired his Master Practitioner Training & Trainers Training in NLP, & took Advanced Hypnotherapy Training with Dr. Richard Bandler & is one of the few who have reached Level 9 in Design Human Engineering™ (DHE). Elvis has also trained & hosted trainings with two of the “first-ever” Licensed Master Trainers of NLP – Ed Reese, MSW, LCSW & Maryann Reese, MA, LMFT – who have been great friends & mentors to Elvis. With over 30+ years of private practice & training experience, Elvis has created multiple models for change & trance including Neurocise®, Identity Evolution™, EMERGE™ (Eye Movement Emergence Reemergence & Guided Expression™), Eye Movement Emergence™ (EME™), EyePointing™ & NeuroPointing™, Psynergetics™, NeuroTrance™ & more. He personally trains & certifies others in these models & methods via in-person/live training as well as online training & continues to do exquisite changework & trancework in Tampa, FL at the Neurocise® Studios.
